해두국은 Gaul지역에 있었다

'해두국'은, 동부여의 대소왕이 고구려 공격에 죽자, 대소의 아우가 동부여가 망하는 줄 알고 갈사국으로 이동하기 전에 압록곡에서 만나 사냥하는 해두국왕을 죽이고 그 속민들과 함께 갈사수에 갈사국을 세웠다는 이야기에 등장하는 나라이다.

 

이런 갈사국 건국이야기에 등장하는 '해두국'에 대한 별 자료가 없다.

 

단지 백두산 근처에 있는 10개국 중의 하나라고, 1923년 4월 24일 동아일보 조선사 칼럼에 실렸다 한다.

 

그런데 해두국은 마한의 한 나라로서 거수국이었다 한다. (나무위키 자료)

 

필자는, 해두국이 압록강 상류에 있다 했으니, 론강인 압록수 계곡 근처 어디에 있는 것으로 생각했다.

 

그런데, 백두산 10개국 중 하나인, 론강의 지류인 Jabron강의 졸본부여, Vienne (Isere)근처의 비류국 추정을 마치고, 고주몽이 정벌했다는 행안국을 찾던 중, 프랑스 Gaul지역의 지도에서  'Haedui'  - 아마도 해두국- 부족명이 있는 것을 보았다. (아래 지도 참조)

해두국에 대한 국내 자료는 없으니, 위키피디아 자료 'Haedui'에 대해 알아 보았다.

 

Gallic tribe이면서도 Julius Caesar의 Gallic wars에 협력하였다 한다. 그래서 동부여의 대소왕 아우의 공격을 받았는지도 모른다. 그리고 주위 여러 나라와 연합체를 이루어 공화정 같은 체제를 이루었다고 한다. 마한과 같은 집합체의 한 구성원인 것으로 판단된다. (아래 자료 참조)

 

즉 'Haedui'가 해두국일 가능성이 매우 높다는 판단이다.

 

 

"The Aedui or Haedui (Gaulish: 'the Ardent'; Ancient Greek: Aἴδουοι) were a Gallic tribe dwelling in the modern Burgundy region during the Iron Age and the Roman period.

 

The Aedui had an ambiguous relationship with the Roman Republic and with other Gallic tribes. In 121 BC, they appealed to Rome against the Arverni and Allobroges. During the Gallic Wars (58–50 BC), they gave valuable though not whole-hearted support to Caesar, before eventually giving lukewarm support to Vercingetorix in 52....

By the early 3rd century BC, the emergence of grouped settlements with diversified functions, along with the creation of sanctuaries, suggest the beginning of a continuous La Tène settlement in the region.[12]

 

Roman period

Outside of the Roman province and prior to Roman rule, Gaul was occupied by self-governing tribes divided into cantons, and each canton was further divided into communes. The Aedui, like other powerful tribes in the region, such as the Arverni, Sequani, and Helvetii, had replaced their monarchy with a council of magistrates called grand-judges. The grand-judges were under the authority of a senate. This senate was made up of the descendants of ancient royal families. Free men in the tribes were vassals of the heads of these families, in an exchange of military, financial, and political interests."

해두국이 이 Gaul 지역에 있다는 것을 확인하는 것은 우리에게 다음과 같은 의미를 부여 한다.

 

1) 론강이 압록곡을 가진 압록수라는 것을 확인해 주는 것이다.

 

2) 해두국 근처에 있는 백두산은 몽블랑산이라는 것이다.

 

3) 대소왕 아우가 출발한 동부여가 이 근처일 수 있다는 것을 말해 준다. 북부여가 덴마크지역이니

 

보다 동쪽으로 이동하였으니 동부여라 하였겠지만, 그리 멀지 않은 곳이라는 것이다.

 

4) 해두국이 마한의 한 거수국이었으니, 마한도 여기서 멀지 않을 수 있다는 것이다.

 

 

앞으로 추가 연구에 많은 시사점을 준다고 하겠다.
